membership and benefits

Any adult Ethiopian, Ethiopian-Canadian, of Ethiopian heritage or relation and their spouses, who have residence in greater Edmonton may become a member of the Ethiopian Canadian Solace Society (Idir) in Edmonton.

ECSSE members must accept the ECSSE bylaw and complete the membership registration form and pay the applicable registration fee.

Registration fee:

• Single: $250 CAD

• Family: $500 CAD

 

Monthly fee:

• Single: $10 CAD

• Family $20 CAD

 

Incidental fee (a single payment only when an Idir member passes away)

• Single: $15 CAD

• Family: $30 CAD

 

Benefits (when an Idir member passes away):

• $10,000 dollars in cash.

• Information and facilitation support for funeral and burial arrangement.

• Visitation and consoling support during mourning period.
